Amplifying your energy this winter!

 

The turn of the season brings with it a general shift in our energy levels with mood swings and the need to hibernate often symptomatic of a change in cooler temperatures.  We tuned into Empath and Wellbeing Coach Samantha Selby from Supernatural Coaching to share her insights and help to elevate your energy vibe this winter.

You coach women on fine tuning their energy levels, what does this mean?

We are all uniquely wired and vibrate energy. Our energetic levels ebb and flow according to our individual life experiences and attitudes. Some days or seasons we feel ready to take on the world and at other times can flatline completely.  

Many of the women I work with present symptoms of burn out, particularly during winter when our general energy levels plateau or fall. They feel mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted. We have been conditioned as a society (especially as women) to take on the world without establishing boundaries.   

We start to suffer from ‘superwoman syndrome’ which drains our energy and disconnects us from our personal internal compass, hello motherhood/family life! Over time this unconscious behavior becomes a reality. I help women identify their energy draining habits and create a road map for operating in a thriving environment.

 How does our internal energy become affected by the seasonal changes in winter?

As humans our bodies intuitively tend to want to slow down as the weather gets colder and many of us 365 days of the year are working a stressful 9-5 job, juggling busy family life and/or a busy household. We are existing on autopilot and it becomes a dysfunctional vicious cycle – it creates disharmony not only in the mind-body-spirit but our energy levels, affecting the home environment. A depleted energy level manifests in a feeling of being unwell, increased anxiety, shortness of breath, being quick to anger, feelings of sadness and exhaustion.  The good news is that we are not powerless over the frequency of our energy vibration and have a good deal of choice and control over our vibrational level.

How are internal energy levels different?

When someone is calibrating at a lower vibrational frequency, they can experience low moods, be fearful or struggle with depression.  They often don’t have a high sense of value, they can feel powerless in their own life story feeling stuck and trapped. They can often project their negative vibes to impact others. When a person’s energy field is high vibrational, it is distinctly noticeable. They are glowing, their lives shine with meaning and happiness, they have a healthy sense of personal power, and they know their worth and boundaries.

I help women to increase their vibrational frequency by exploring your inner world through self-development work. Understanding who you really are underneath all your fears, anxiety, ego and victim consciousness will fast track your personal growth and healing. When you start to let go of the heavy baggage and negative energies that do not serve - you become lighter, your level of consciousness expands and as a result are a more positive higher vibrational person.

How can we cultivate high-vibe energy through winter?

  • Switch off and take time for rest and being alone, create some personal boundaries around this. Sleep is so important for discharging and renourishing the body’s energy reserves

  • Honour your body, your temple, by feeding it with healthy, nutritious food and limiting alcohol intake

  • Elevate your surroundings… a tidy home, peaceful surroundings, calm and order, light candles and play music

  • Gentle exercise like walks on the beach or in a forest can be grounding for our internal energy, connecting back with nature

  • Self-care treatments like investing in a monthly massage to revive aching muscles or a facial to keep your skin glowing

  • Be selective with the company you keep… our personal connections have a powerful effect on our wellbeing

  • Focus on the good stuff… focus on the positive aspects of your life and don’t overthink things
