Are you feeling the effects of winter… dry, dehydrated and frankly a little lizard-like? Lost your inner and outer glow this season? Fear not, follow these easy lifestyle tweaks to banish the winter blues and boost your overall glow.

Get moving

Prioritise regular movement to not only stay in shape but feel good from the inside out. Whatever you know will work into your lifestyle… we are all juggling multiple commitments, so try and commit to a regular weekly session whether walking with a friend, playing a game of tennis or taking a yoga class.

Skincare boost

Amplify your skincare routine, from beginning to end. Use a rich, nourishing cleanser over harsh products that will further strip the skin’s natural oils and exacerbate the drying effects of winter. Hydrate parched skin with a mist, followed quickly by a replenishing treatment serum. To get the circulation going and deflate puffiness, massage your moisturiser into the skin with a gua-sha tool. Always finish with an SPF. Don’t forget to regularly exfoliate twice per week and use an overnight mask at least once per week. Visit your skin technician for an additional boost!

Nails and hair are prone to winter blues, feeling dry, brittle and generally lack-lustre. Pile your plate with blueberries, salmon, lemon, avocados and spices like ginger and turmeric, well-known for their anti-inflammatory benefits. Cut back on daily caffeine intake by swapping out coffee with herbal tea, try antioxidant infused rooibos. Don’t forget to practise being mindful when you eat, rather than scoffing a chocolate bar on the run, savour a small piece of dark chocolate with a cup of tea.
