As the weather begins to cool and we reach for our jackets, and while we watch the leaves change colour, take inspiration from nature’s autumn colour palette. For your lips and nails, think golds, deep reds and browns.
As we move into the cooler months, while you may prefer a more muted palette of greys, navy and beige in your clothing, these autumnal on-trend colours will make the perfect contrast and will give you a pop of energy and colour.
When choosing a lip colour that is best for you, go with what makes you feel good. Confidence is the key when wearing a bold lip colour, and so if you’re not feeling it, then best to go with something closer to your natural lip colour, like a more neutral Calypso 589 from our new Legend Collection.
Some other tips when choosing bold lip colours this season is to try to match to your skin tones. If you have typically fair skin with a cool tone, and a pink, red or bluish hue, then choose a deep red, such as Artemis 585 rather than the more orangey colours. If you have more of a warm undertone, and your skin has more of a yellow, golden or olive hue then warm shades will suit you best. Pinks, reds and oranges such as Jasmina 587 and Mata Hari 588 will work for you. If you have more neutral undertones to your skin, then you are in luck as typically most colours will complement your skin.
