MAVALA began in Geneva in 1959, founded by visionary beautician Madeleine Van Landeghem (MA-VA-LA) and the formulation talent of a chemist. Over the years, the brand has grown into a globally cherished and trusted name — still family-owned and proudly independent, with Swiss quality, efficacy and reliability at its heart, present in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Key moments in time!
1959 — MAVALA changed nail care forever with the launch of MAVALA Scientifique K+ nail hardener — a revolutionary treatment designed to penetrate and strengthen the nail plates, rather than just coating them. This product remains a best-seller today!
1962 — MAVALA worry-free Mini Colors are born. Long before portable and sustainable beauty was a trend, MAVALA introduced mini nail polishes in petite 5ml bottles — efficient, eco-friendly, and adored globally. Now available in 360 shades, one for each day of the year!
1964 + 1986 - MAVALA introduced daily hand care with specific repairing and targeted corrective care for smooth hands.
1995 – MAVALA naturally stepped into foot care, health and wellbeing.
1996 & beyond – MAVALA extends into facial beauty, representing so much more than colour but care, incorporating high quality ingredients to treat whilst beautifying.
2017 – MAVALA introduces a targeted skincare line combining Alpine botanicals and advanced dermatological active ingredients.
