As spring approaches and the sun is finally starting to reappear, it’s time to make the most of all of those fresh fruits and veggies. Here’s a couple of our favourite smoothie recipes that we know you’ll love!

You may already know, that the secret to making sure that your smoothie fills you up for longer, is to add some protein and healthy fats to the nutrition packed goodness of your fresh fruit and veggies. This smoothie combines the antioxidant power of kale with the sweet and refreshing frozen strawberries, and some natural yoghurt for protein. While you may be questioning the reasoning behind kale for breakfast – I can assure you this is absolutely delicious and will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to start your day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of washed kale (trim the stem away)

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries

  • 3 tablespoons natural yoghurt

  • 200ml coconut water

  • Optional: 2 scoops protein powder

Method:

Simple combine all ingredients in a blender and go!

While ginger is well known to support queasy tummies, the magic of this smoothie is in the secret blend of ingredients- including the probiotics in natural yoghurt and honey’s hangover busting antioxidants that will combine to help you rehydrate and replace some of those lost electrolytes. FYI for those pregnant mummas to be - this one is also tried and tested for morning sickness!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

  • 1 frozen ripe banana

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • 200ml coconut water

  • 3 tablespoons natural yoghurt

Method:

Peel banana, grate ginger and then combine all ingredients in the blender and mix to desired consistency.
