Lashes are an amazing asset to any eyes. There are certain products you can use to boost these beauties but a smokey eye can transform your eyes beyond just lashes. With the party season upon us, follow these easy steps to create a bold, captivating eye look.
Start with a priming base coat to prevent creases and extend the lasting power of eye makeup. Conceal any dark blemishes under the eye. Next, set both steps in place with a finishing powder, ensuring to blend above the crease. Shade the whole eye in an understated neutral shade (matte or sparkly, depending on personal preference). Take a deeper shade and begin applying from the outer corner of the eye and following the crease; moving inwards. Blend softly so that the contrast between the base colour and dark eyeshadow isn’t too defined.
Lining above and beyond the eye with a soft, nourishing khol pencil to enable shading as desired to create the ‘smoke-effect’ in the perfect smokey eye. For stronger definition, opt for a liquid liner. Next use a heated (a few seconds with the hair dryer) eyelash curler to open the eye up and curl lashes, followed by a volumising mascara like our VL Mascara, which also protects and extends the life of lashes thanks to its vitamin B5. Fast forward to the end of the night; you should remove all make-up before going to bed (sad to see that smokey eye go but very necessary to maintain youthful eyes). Gently remove heavy and stubborn eye makeup with an oil and water formula. Follow with a nutritive serum for longer, denser lashes while you sleep.
